Background

Alice Foundation (AF) is a registered charity not-for-profit educational Organization operating in Uganda. It was set with a hope and courage from Aluku Alicantorina, an inspiring woman who was denied access to study by her parents. She was made to stay home and take care of cattle as his brothers were paid in school. They were not considered important; however, she was helped by her uncle who brought her texts books, reading materials and she studied them while herding her father’s cattle. It was unfortunate; she didn’t go far with that study because she could not have access to sit for exams to get certificates to continue to the next level. As a result, this foundation was started to ensure that all children irrespective of color, race, age, region and countries have opportunity to reading materials and text books as part of promoting quality education in Africa.
