Targets and Goals

Alice Foundation (AF) is passionate about ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education that promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Foundation targets learners both in urban and rural areas. They key levels that foundation targets are: children at Kindergarten, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Uganda who lacks or have no access to reading materials and text books.

The Foundation is also looking forward to develop a mobile van library that will be taking texts books from school to school for children to read and explore beyond dreams.

The Foundation is further planning for School Literacy Challenge where winners get Award and prize.

Activities

                           Alice Foundation (AF) is currently focusing on four core areas:

(i)             School outreach:  Alice Foundation is creating awareness on the value of reading as a tool of success in this new era of innovation, creativity and sustainable development

(ii)           Teaching/learning materials to schools: Alice Foundation is providing teaching and learning materials suitable for the 21^st century which is growing day and night

(iii)         Engaging schools:  This is being done through knowledge formation, acquisition and transfer involving collaborative processes that proactively allow societal and school/learners participation in order to improve lifelong learning

(iv)         Partnership: Alice Foundation is also focusing on building national and international partnership with School Book Aid Organizations, individuals, governments and funding bodies in order to promote equitable quality education for all.

Our Objectives

   -  To bring learning materials nearer to the learners in both urban and rural areas

2.       To create a centre of lifelong learning by inculcating in learners a reading culture

3.       To ensure and promote inclusive education at all levels

4.       To equip schools with reading materials and learning teaching aids

5.       To established and stock local, regional and central libraries to make easy access of learning materials by learners

6.       To develop an online and mobile  library for learners at all levels
